Born in Bari on 09-07-1983, he began his dance studies in his hometown and then completed his professional training at the "Scuola del Balletto di Toscana" directed by Cristina Bozzolini.

Later he worked for "Gruppo Nuova Danza Treviso", Notre Dame de Paris (Choreography Martino Müller) and in August 2004 he joins "Compagnia Aterballetto" under the artistic direction of Mauro Bigonzetti.

During the next 4 years with Aterballetto, Giuseppe has the opportunity to perform choreographies from Jirí Kylián, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, the same Mauro Bigonzetti and participate to numerous national and international festivals.

These experiences enriched him enormously developing a professional and artistic growth. Four years of an extensive exchange with Thoss will begin a deep interest in choreography, debuting 2 great works at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and receiving commissions that will become part of the repertoire of the company.

In addition to cultivating this passion for choreography, Spota continues to work as a dancer with choreographers as Jirí Kylián, Johan Inger, Medhi Walerski and Stephan Thoss.

"A dancer with amazing physical abilities, with talent he has managed to combine body and spirit in a synthesis of absolute poetry. A wonderful dancer from the latest generation, he is one of today's leading contemporary male exponents".

From 2013/14 to date, Giuseppe decides to devote himself fully to choreography by starting his collaborations with Aterballetto, Staatstheater Mainz, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Gauthier Dance Theater, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Theater Regensburg and Theater Ulm.

In the summer of 2015 he is given the opportunity to participate to the Beijing International Ballet Gala featuring excerpts of his creations.
