A volcano that covers Europe with ashes, a tsunami that floods Southeast Asia, a hurricane that devastates the Caribbean. These are just three examples of out-of-touch forces of nature. At the same time, our need for the unadulterated is getting bigger, the idyll is an ideal that the masses are looking for. We have created a paradoxical world in which we destroy by loving. The matter seems to slip away from us.

The title of the evening is inspired by the eponymous Indonesian volcano. Its eruption in 1815 had a temporary global impact on the climate.
